How To: Create Selfie A Day Timelapse in Kidlapse
Kidlapse was designed around projects with a photo per month. It’s easy to use for selfie a day or selfie a week projects as well, you just need to map your photo frequency to months.
3 years gives you 36 uploads so the easiest way is to map each month of selfies to 3 years in Kidlapse. Give yourself plenty of room. If you might do 20 years then that’s 240 months and so you’d want 720 years in Kidlapse. Set your birthday to 01/01/1300 and then start uploading.
You might want to create a spreadsheet to track which year/month in Kidlapse maps to each date of your project.
The same sort of calculation will work for weeks or any other time period that you want to work with.
For long projects you will probably also want to reduce the number of ‘tween’ frames that Kidlapse generates in your timelapse movie. The default is 29 which means every photo uploaded will be on screen for one second. You can adjust this (as low as 0) on the Advanced Options page (click the Advanced Options link next to Create Timelapse Movie at the bottom of the project page).
